Full Stack Development

I regularly code on all layers of the stack, employing databases and server pages to communicate with web and mobile front ends. Although I’ve worked on a variety of technologies I’m primarily familiar with Java servers and LAMP, SQL and Oracle. I have extensive experience designing, documenting, and developing UI and code architecture from concept to patent and publishing, I’ve ported code and I’ve inherited a number of projects.

Game and Software Development

An overview of my development history: I’ve been a professional game developer since 1998. Click here to view my resume. In that time I’ve worked for large companies and small studios, I founded and operated a for-hire game development studio in Los Angeles called Zero G Games from 2005 to 2010, and have designed and developed games of all genres, from single player to MMOs, on a variety of platforms. As a game developer I am often hands-on with the assets, media, and content, including content design and authoring, and I’m very capable with Office and Adobe software. I am a master of Flash and Flex and I even animate.

In my career: I built visual layout software that allows sales reps to send designs in for approval and connect part lists directly to the warehouse. I built a browser-based remote control system for a two-way video conferencing robot. I’ve built multiplayer gaming platforms, including chat and avatar systems. I’ve built licensing and encryption systems. I’ve built games for cable-TV boxes, mobile apps and games since the original Blackberry, have worked with cartridge systems, and I started out building video slot machine games that were on casino floors.

WordPress and Websites

I also build custom and template websites. I’m experienced with WordPress including security, hardening, and e-commerce. I’ve been building websites using HTML/JavaScript since the late 90’s and I have experience with Drupal and other frameworks.
